I am a passionate and caring mother, Wife, and member of the LGBTQ+ community. My journey has always been caring for others. I have experienced the joy, and the difficulties of giving birth to three amazing boys. I have also experienced the grief of losing a pregnancy. I have been a Massage Therapist since 2006 when I attended The Flint School of Therapeutic Massage. I have a positive outlook on life and through the difficult year of 2020 I was able to focus on my family and my career and follow my dream of becoming a Doula in order to serve and care for others through the life altering experience of giving birth. It is my absolute joy and honor to help every family through their journey of welcoming a baby into their family. 

Courtney Downs, LMT has a passion for bringing excellent care to prenatal and postpartum women.  As a mother of three herself she understands the fears, anxieties, and discomfort being pregnant can have on your body. She earned her Associates of Applied Science in Massage Therapy at the Myotherapy Institute in Lincoln (2017) and also holds a Bachelor of Science degree (2008) in Early Education and Human Services with an emphasis on Child Development. Courtney has completed a variety of prenatal training courses including: Nurturing the Mother® Pregnancy and Postpartum Massage (2019)

She also holds certification in Ashiatsu Oriental Bar Therapy (2018), Ashi-Thai (2020), and is proficient in Swedish, deep tissue, hot stone, and therapeutic cupping. 

Hello, my name is Kim Kassel and I'm a newly licensed massage therapist. I graduated from Kalamazoo Center for the Healing Arts in July, and currently teach Anatomy and Physiology there once a week. I also work at Hope Network with individuals that have had a traumatic Brain Injury. The main reason I decided to be a Massage Therapist is so that I can be more present with my girls. However, I learned so much more about massage than I ever thought I would. When I'm not working, I'm either at the barn with the horses or with my girls. My future goals as a massage therapist are to be well versed in all aspects as well as giving massages outside of my own home. My favorite massages to give are: Relaxation, prenatal and craniosacral techniques. Within these massages, I will incorporate some myofascial and acupressure as well. I can't wait to work with you and your massage goals.
